A new season brings new things for me and araisedbanner. This is the first post in quite some time for a great reason. It’s given time for refocus on my art, my family, and most importantly my relationship with The Lord. I truely hope it reflects in my new work. So let’s get right to it!

“Process” is the latest piece to the portfolio and a refreshing reminder of our need for Christ. I struck me one night while reading in Genisis that though he can and does create things in an instant, The Lord enjoys seeing the process of his creations. Process allows you to appreciate things in life a lot more. The apple tree represents our NEED for Christ (no apple=no sin=no need for a savior). 6-10 is the averege amount of years taken from seed to full on bloom for apples to yield at it’s prime.

Soon to follow is a painting that i have had in mind for a few months now. It is based around the idea of amount of time we are given in each day and how we utilize that gift. Stay tuned for that. I will also be posting stages of a a commissioned painting I am currently working on for a family member. Pictures of the canvas will be posted farily soon.
